Our special day on July 17, 2027, begins with a marriage blessing in the morning at Asbury United Methodist Church in Delaware, Ohio, followed by wedding luncheon at the Glenross Golf Club in nearby Stratford.
10:00 AM – Guests begin to arrive at Asbury United Methodist Church
Guests are requested to arrive at the church starting at 10:00 AM and be seated by 10:25 AM. Guests are recommended to enter the church through the main entrance located on the south side of the church, off the parking lot. The church has barrier-free access and is handicap accessible. Restrooms are located on the ground floor near the church offices and the main entrance.
10:30 AM – Service of Word and Table with Marriage Blessing
The liturgical celebration will be a full Service of Word and Table, presided by Rev. Katherine Osier. The Rev. Denise Marikis will assist, offering the marriage blessings. Our friend Rev. Carrie Ballenger of Cambridge, Massachusetts, will preach. Holy Communion will be celebrated according to the rites of The United Methodist Church. All baptized Christians are welcome to receive Holy Communion. All guests, regardless of religious affiliation, may receive a blessing instead of Holy Communion. The service will also include Scripture readings and congregational singing. Special music will be provided by Caleb and Matthew’s family and friends. The service will last approximately 75 minutes.
12:15 PM – Drinks reception with hors d’oeuvres
Guests begin to arrive at the Glenross Golf Club at 12:00 noon. The drinks reception with hors d’oeuvres will begin at approximately 12:15 PM. Guests will be offered sparkling wine, beer, and signature cocktails as well as water and soft drinks. Guests will enjoy hors d’oeuvres from a self-serve buffet.
1:15 PM – Official Welcome as Caleb and Matthew arrive
Guests will be officially welcomed at 1:15 PM as the grooms arrive. A prayer will be offered before the meal.
1:30 PM – Buffet lunch
Guests will lunch on a scrumptious buffet lunch
2:30 PM – Speeches, toasts, and cutting the cake
3:00 PM – Special entertainment
4:00 PM – Fun and drinks continue
5:00 PM – Guests depart
